DMC Pattern Books Volumes 1-6 from Sajou

The history of this collection of pattern books goes back to 1800 when Daniel Dollfus took over his uncle's company becoming Dollfus Meig & Compagnie - DMC.  He expanded the company's activities of finely printed cloth to include cotton spinning and weaving.  Decendants expanded the company further to include the production of sewing and embroidery threads.  Their friendship and collaboration with Therese's de Dillmont and her school of embroidery lasted for many years.  DMC published many of her alphabets and patterns found in this collection.

Each volume contains 16 pages of alphabets, borders and complete patterns.
